Early Action

Your opportunity to act

“We’ll monitor your symptoms and see how it goes.”

That’s still the default response most people who have concerns about their brain health hear.

Early changes in the brain often start 20+ years before they affect everyday life. That’s the moment experts globally recommend to become active.

While current healthcare pathways excel at treating diagnosed conditions, they only provide recommendations for brain health promotion with very limited structured support.

Brain-body health isn't a 12-week program.
Most exercises or therapies stop after 9 – 18 sessions.
We don't.

Built on Science, not Promises.

Stepwave is based on the pioneering 'Brain-IT' concept. It was developed, tested and refined through six years of research with one goal: helping people build brain-body resilience to stay fit for longer.

6 years of research.
18 peer-reviewed publications.
And counting.

  • 128 study participants*
  • 1'939 individual training sessions
  • 742 hours of training
  • 446 measurement sessions

* 59 individuals with mild neurocognitive disorder, 59 healthy older adults, and 10 experts (therapists, neuropsychologists, other exergaming researchers, or representatives from the exergaming industry).

Our Evidence

100% of participants perceived the training as useful, and 55% showed measurable cognitive improvements that noticeably eased their daily lives already after 3 months — compared to only 23% in the control group continuing their usual routines.

(Manser et al. 2025 and 2023)

‘Brain-IT’ training showed early scientific indications of positive changes in the trained brain regions that are associated with memory and self-regulation.

(Manser et al. 2026)

Participants performed, on average, 21% more sessions than instructed — because they perceived the training as useful, fun, and effective.

(Manser et al. 2025 and 2023)

Most participants completed the 12-week program and wanted to continue afterwards because it naturally became part of their weekly routine.

(Manser et al. 2025)

“I am always very skeptical about such exercises and offers at first. In the course of the exercises, however, I have found that it benefits me almost from day to day. I would advise as many people as possible to join in here. It really is effective!”

Mr. Lehmann, 87

"We set an ambitious goal of 120 min of training, divided into five short sessions a week, knowing that such a high frequency drives cognitive benefits and helps people build their daily brain-body health routine. To our surprise, participants didn't just meet that target — they exceeded it. And, it was worth it! Over half showed cognitive improvements that noticeably eased their daily lives already after 3 months."
